When to dive in Egypt. The great thing about diving in Egypt is it's possible all year round with water temperatures ranging from 21°C to 28°C and you can expect visibility from 20-50 mtrs . If Hammerhead sharks are on your bucket list then head to Egypt between June-September. This is also when the water temperature is at its warmest. If you decide to visit this fantastic snorkeling spot in Marsa Alam, you can stay at the on-site Marsa Shagra Village. This Bedouin camp-style accommodation was opened more than 30 years ago. It is managed eco-consciously and attracts mainly divers due to its unlimited house reef diving concept, but it is an excellent choice for snorkelers too.
