The silicone its self is grippy and as others have mentioned, it can make it difficult to pull in and out of pockets. I dislike cases in general however this one I really do like. The apple silicone case on my 14 pro was not going to protect the phone. I knocked the phone into my palm screen first and the phone popped out of the silicone case. The silicone was fine on my mini phones but the 14 pro is too big and heavy for the silicone I know it won't protect it if it falls. Caudabe have great cases I switched to them
