Youlike the 1190 but want the extra bells and whistles, you've got the money - you don't need to justify it to anyone but yourself, get the 1290. If you decide yo want something smaller after riding it a year or 2 there will be 790's on the used market. Not even sure how the 1200 scrambler is on your list. #6. Theres no getting away from the fact that the R is a very tall bike. The 890mm seat height makes for a lofty perch, but then the KTM is a beautifully balanced bike with a slim waist, which means it’s not as intimidating as you’d think. Also, having knocked off over 750 miles in a couple of days I can confirm that it’s also a comfy tourer.
